friday's fancies #8.

I don't know about you, but I'm extremely happy it's Friday. We woke up to a winter wonderland here in Rhode Island, so suffice it to say, my attire for our date night tonight would need to be one part cute, but also one part functional.

Here's the outfit I'd wear tonight if money grew on trees...

{all images are screenshots from the links below}
1) For as long as the keys have been around at Tiffany, I've been a fan.  This oval key pendant would, in my opinion, be a perfect accessory for date night...since {cv} is the keeper of that key to my heart. {Corny much? Ok, ok. I know. Forgive me!}
2) During my visit to Kate Spade back in December, my maid of honor {ch} and I spotted these fun red lever-back earrings. I've been thinking about them ever since. I love the little pop of color {along with #5} that these sparklers give.
3) Go ahead. Make fun of this sweater if you want. I'm totally down with Markus Lupker here though...his merino sweater gives the perfect balance of glam and function. It has those long sleeves we need for the cold winter nights, along with the hint of something a little more fun ;)
4) Playing again to the functional side, I need a pair of Skinny Stretch Denim Leggings to fit inside my dream rain boots. With the snow on the ground, I wouldn't want to risk ruining a pair of pants in the disgusting mix of substances they use to keep the roads {semi-}clear.
5) Right along with the pop of colors on my ears, I spotted this Cobble Hill Leslie on my dear friend Kate's website and knew it would be the right burst of color against the black and white.
6) I own a pair of Hunters. They're purple--and they're fabulous. For date night, however, these Hunter Zermatt Boots in black patent give a little wedge and a lot of utility in this wintry weather.
7) Why the sunglasses? I'm fancying some sunshine. I'd like to think these Cutler and Gross Sunglasses would protect me from the sun's glare...if it would ever return to New England.

There you have it--my snowy date night outfit on my imagination's dime!

What are you dreaming of this Friday? Going anywhere fun? Or staying cozy at home? Regardless of what you're doing, I'm sure your wardrobe would love an imaginary revamp. One of the reasons I started this blog was to help me learn to fight off those shopping urges and "love from afar." I hope you'll join me in that battle this week! If not this week, maybe sometime soon...
