On December 8th, we received the best gift of our lives: James Patrick was born happy and healthy at 7:22pm. He clocked in at 7 pounds and 12 ounces and measured 20.5 inches from head to toe. Finding out the gender in the delivery room was truly one of the best surprises of my life. It was agonizing to not know toward the end, but I am so glad we waited. It made his birthday that much more special. I promise to share more about {jv}'s arrival in the coming weeks.
We have been soaking up every little moment with {jv}, which also means I have been rather absent from the blogosphere. Your love on Instagram and Facebook warms my heart each time I have a second to "catch up" on life outside of our little bubble. I may not be able to reply to each and every comment, but I most certainly cherish them.
When I first found out I was due at the holidays, I will admit that I didn't love the idea. My tune has totally changed. As cliché as it sounds, {jv} is truly the best present I've ever received.
