today.

Hello again! I hope you all had a great weekend :) On occasion, I need that extra little oomph to get me out the door on a Monday. Today is no different, except that I'm changing my tune a bit. After finding this quote, I had a little wake-up call. If this isn't a profound statement, I don't know what is:

Don't they always say the hindsight is 20/20? What if we could beat that hindsight? I know I'm going to challenge myself to work harder {and faster} on the things that I have up my sleeve. It isn't worth sitting on them until I make the leap. I want to make this quote a reality--and am excited to see where I am next year on April 23rd.

I hope this bit of inspiration will get you moving this Monday :) It's a busy one here in Rhode Island, but I'm beyond excited for our jaunt to Miami on Thursday! {If you have advice for me on where to go, I'd love it--share it with me here!} Enjoy your week, friends--I'll see you tomorrow!

  4. Such a great quote! So important to know that the little things we do today will effect us a year down the road...I have heard the saying, "it's like drops in a bucket...it may feel little now, but sooner or later the bucket is full!"

  8. That quote is amazing. I've been thinking a lot lately about what I want to accomplish and the goals I have set for myself. There's no time like the present to start working towards them, and a year from now I'll be so glad that I did! Thanks for sharing :)

  11. This is one of those things that is so true! I find that when I just go for something, even if it's just a rough draft, I'm prepared for when it becomes something HUGE and wonderful! If I just sat on my butt all day, dreaming about how I want it to be, it would never get there. This is awesome inspiration for a Monday morning, that's for sure!

  13. This is so motivational and so true! Ironically, I decided to share a weight loss journey I have recently started on my blog, and after reading this, I'm totally inspired to get on my gym clothes and get my workout-on! Thank you for that :) Happy Monday

  17. Today was my first day at a new job! So this week I'm throwing myself full speed at it and learning everything I can (and working quickly, since I already have a lot of deadlines). I'm also working on some larger blog projects, putting together a mix tape for my mom's wedding in a couple weeks (eek!), and spending time relaxing. I also have several books I'm reading or waiting to read, so I also need to squeeze some chapters in!

  18. Tons of work and prepping for a trip to Chicago — so excited!!

And yes, this quote is SO true. Even taking a small step towards what you want is better than taking no steps at all.
