love don't know what distance is.

I'm the first to admit I have a rather eclectic running playlist. From rap to country, my running tunes run the gamut. Even though I've heard the song a number of times, one particular line from Hunter Hayes' "I Want Crazy" caught me off guard on my run yesterday: love don't know what distance is. Even though {cv} and I have been in the same place for a few years now, the line hit close to home.

When I started this blog in November 2010, {cv} and I were newly married. Long distance was still fresh on my mind. The name {long distance loving} came to me that random Wednesday night and I went with it. As time passes and the hardships of our long distance years fade, I've thought more than once about changing my blog name. The bottom line is that I'm not ready yet. For as often as I get requests to bring back my distance makes the hear grow fonder series, I realize the need is still there. Long distance may be over for me, but it may be just beginning for you.

Though I won't have long distance features every week, I want to give hope to those of you who are wading in the long distance waters. I will be bring back features on couples who are currently long distance {or survived it themselves}. If you'd like to be considered, click here to submit your information. I'll be calling this the "Love Is" series--as an ode to the song from Hunter Hayes which reminded me to go back to my roots ;)

If long distance doesn't apply to your love life, never fear. The content you've come to expect from {long distance loving} isn't going anywhere.  I just want to give some love to the distance folks--because goodness knows I needed it when we were long distance. Have a great start to your week! xoxo {av}

  1. That line hits close to home for me as well! My boyfriend is gone for six months out of the year and unfortunately email is pretty much our only form of communication. Whenever I hear that line, it always makes me smile and think of him.

    2. I was also in a short-term long-distance relationship and it felt pretty much IMPOSSIBLE. I'm always interested in hearing others' stories and experiences!

  4. So funny - I have been thinking about how much I miss your long distance loving series and I was going to ask you what was up! I love that song from Hunter Hayes and every time I hear it, I remember my long distance experience and feel so happy that it's over, but proud that we did it. I can't wait to see what you bring to the blog!

  5. I will be starting a long distance relationship in just a few weeks as my boyfriend and I will be going off to different colleges. We're going to be over a thousand miles away from each other and the thought this scares the hell out of me. This being said the anxiety subsides a little when I hear beautiful success stories like the one of you and your husband. I, too, hope you never change your blog name. It's such an inspiration.

  7. Hi Alison! If I've filled out a survey in the past, do I need to do it again to be considered? I've been reading your blog for a few years and would love to be featured! This series is what drew me to your blog in the first place. :) Thanks!

  8. I've been thinking about changing my blog name too, because it's just something that I came up with one day - there wasn't any real thought behind it. But since I've had it for so long, I've kinda become attached to it & don't want to see it go quite yet.

    I'd love to see the long distance feature come back though! I was in a long distance relationship for over two years, so I definitely related to alll the features that you had on here. :)

  9. Hi, I just ran across your blog and was immediately drawn to this series. My boyfriend and I have now been long distance for two years due to school and studying abroad and it is the hardest thing in the world but it is so so worth it. Thanks for having these posts. It's really nice knowing some of the difficulties we have happen with other couples too. Long distance can work and it's great to hear the success stories.

  10. After being in relationship with Wilson for seven years,he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and she suggested that I should contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that don't believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I meant a spell caster called Dr Zuma zuk and I email him, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem and who is different from all the fake ones out there. Anybody could need the help of the spell caster, his email: spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com or call him +2349055637784 you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or anything. CONTACT HIM NOW FOR SOLUTION TO ALL YOUR PROBLEMS'
