boots on (sale) parade.

Happy Thursday! I don't know about you, but now that it's August, I don't feel weird looking at boots. For years, I've been on the hunt for a great pair of brown boots. I fell victim to a sale a few years ago and ended up with a not-so-quality pair, but I refuse to do that with my next boot purchase. I want a pair of boots which will be timeless enough to last a few years and not fall apart! Thankfully, Nordstrom and Piperlime are having killer sales on boots worth an investment. Take a peek at a few of my top picks...

1) MICHAEL Michael Kors Arley Boot {$95 off}   //   2) Frye Melissa Tall Boot {$105 off}
3) Tory Burch Brita Riding Boot {$195 off}   //   4) Wanted Slicker Boot {$22 off}
5) Cole Haan Adler Boot {$129 off}   //   6) Bandolino Cale Boot {$38 off}

Which pair is your favorite? When you buy boots, do you go for the look or for longevity {or both}?
Can't wait to see you tomorrow for another fun round of #FridaysFancies! xoxo {av}

  1. Love all of these! I've been gravitating more towards heeled booties these past couple of months, but these picks have made me want to start wearing the good ole' riding boots again :)

  3. I go for longevity (which is why most of my boots are Frye...). Even though it's more money, it pays off in the long run, when you just need to have them resoled vs. buying a new pair!

  7. Gorgeous picks! Boots are one of the few things I will splurge on. Opting for real leather with great stitching and a quality heel is the only way to make sure that they last. I have two pairs of riding boots I bought in summer 2006 right before I went abroad that I still wear this day. Those babies have made it through rain, snow, sun, sleet, slush, and two or three transatlantic trips. Sure, they've needed some resole-ing and touch-ups here and there, but they're amazing and only look better the more worn and beat-up they get. I'd opt for Frye or Cole Haan if you want a pair that will stand the test of time.

  9. I picked up a pair of brown boots on MAJOR sale at Marshall's a few years ago. They were selling for $300 online and were only $70 in the store. I'm 99%vsure the brand is Matisse, but they're pretty awesome quality. I have gone hard on them, and they still look new. I'd definitely recommend checking out some of their boots! However, I'm in the market for some with a little bit lower heel, I love your picks!
