a sneak peek.

After two magnificent weeks together in Europe, {cv} and I just spent five days apart. He couldn't come with me to Michigan because of work--and then left for a work trip right as I was landing back in Rhode Island. Suffice it to say, having both of us in the same apartment last night was such a relief.

Since I wanted to soak up some time with {cv} and work on my blog/life balance,
I hope you'll take this video of a very sparkly Eiffel Tower as a concession prize ;)

If I lived in Paris, I don't think I would ever get anything done at night. Seriously.
More to come from our Europe trip soon--Have a fantastic Wednesday!

P.S. During the time we spend apart, I am always thankful for the years we spent 400 miles away from one another. Why? It helps me appreciate our quiet nights together so much more. I'll just continue to count my blessings that we only do short stints of long distance these days. It also tugs at my heartstrings for those of you who are still enduring the distance... xo

  1. gorgeous! i cannot wait to visit paris one day :) xx

  2. Looking forward to more of your Europe posts! Majestic, snow-covered mountains always stop me in my tracks ;)

  3. What a pretty video! So sparkly! :-) A sight that always stops me in my tracks is rain -- we don't get much of it here in Arizona, but when we do, my husband and I enjoy just lounging around, watching, and listening!

  4. I've always wanted to see the Eiffel Tower! It's so beautiful... I don't think I could get anything done at night either! Especially looking at that baby! Glad you and {cv} got some time together ;) xo

  5. So gorgeous! I always feel that way about the Cape Neddick lighthouse where my family goes in Maine!

  6. Amazing!! We're on the edge of our seats waiting for more details about your trip! :)

We always say the same thing about missing our husbands after spending a vacation together then coming home & having to go our separate ways to work, etc. You're so right though...just makes us that much more grateful for our quality time with them!

  8. Oh my goodness that was pretty! I can't wait to hear more about your trip :) I have been out of internet this week and away from my favorite blogs + getting caught up on your posts has been so fun :) Good for you for working on the blog // real life balance - we all need a reminder of how important that is. xoxo, eliza
