shining light.

{cv} and I will be embarking on the home design process soon, so I have been engrossed in finding inspiration. My pinterest is quickly filling up with cheery, sun-filled photos of homes I would love to call my own. One common theme {cv} spotted after peeking over my shoulder at my pinterest boards is my love of bright and happy spaces. Here are a few of my favorites...

I know it's not necessarily realistic to have lots of light in every room, though it would be amazing if it was. My goal is to find places in our design where we will attract the most light. If you have any advice on that front, I'm all ears. For those of you who are already homeowners, I'd love to hear about your favorite sun spots in your home. I know I have a lot to learn, but I'm excited to do it! See you back here for Friday's Fancies tomorrow :)

  2. I really wish our bedroom windows were bigger. That's the one place I want more light. We have these giant windows in the living room that go to the floor but they also cause a glare and blind me when I'm cooking dinner bc it's right at the perfect spot where my sink faces. So, sadly we keep the curtains closed most of the time.

  6. I NEED that kitchen and bathroom. NEED. We are actually thinking of re-doing our kitchen and bathrooms in our home. Our house was built in the 50s, and our bathrooms look like it. Our master bath has pepto pink tiles all over it. Not appealing. LOL!!!

  7. Those pictures are absolutely gorgeous! I think it's most important to have light in your living room & kitchen- you'll spend the most time there when it's actually light outside :)

  8. I would say the bedroom and the living room! The bedroom because that's where you start your day off, so you want the nice sunshine waking you up in the morning. And the living room because that's where the hubby and I spend most of our time during the evening :)

  10. I'm so happy you're back!! I think definitely the bedroom for morning sunshine - unless you like to sleep in, in which case, consider that. Another place I like natural light coming in is the bathroom - it can be much cheerier getting ready in the morning, and natural light is much kinder to your face/skin in the morning when you're getting ready for work! Best of luck on your plans :) xoxo, e
