a little flair.

On Tuesday, I shared the goals I have for this year. One of the very real goals is spend less, which doesn't mean I have to sacrifice fashion if I play my cards right. Over the last year, I invested in some quality basics, so I think the best way to keep my wardrobe current is through accessories. Some of the pieces below are more timeless, others are more trendy--but they're all under $30.

{find them here: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8}

Investing in one quality piece rather than a number of less expensive pieces may be the best bet for the long term, but for the short term, I will be focused on finding a few pieces which keep me current without busting our budget. I'll keep you posted on my progress along the way--and I'll use my Friday's Fancies posts to dream big :)

  6. I definitely agree--sometimes you just need to grab a few pieces that will keep you up to date, that aren't expensive. Plus, with trends like they are today, it won't hurt to spend less on the trendy stuff since it won't be in style for ages. Love the H&M necklace :)

  7. Seeing posts like this make me really wish H&M had online shopping! We have an H&M at the mall with all the good stuff--I'm just afraid to go in or I'll fall victim to too much beauty and blow my January goal of no accessories, shoes, or clothes! :) But how pretty and fun! Check out BaubleBar too! I love it!

  9. I'm seriously considering ordering those gloves (in tobacco). I recently bought a coat from anthro (major sale discount) and it has 3/4-length sleeves so I need elbow-length gloves!

  15. french women have very small closets. my french friends were amazed by the amount of clothes i brought with me - that was the entire of amount of clothing they owned. they invest in classic pieces like you said and change it up with accessories.

    so i think this is a great idea! how very french of you. haha.
