Back when we got married in 2010, wedding blogs were just gaining steam. Though I'm jealous of current brides who have so many resources at the click of a mouse, I think I would get very overwhelmed with all the inspiration. When my bff {kj} asked me to be in her wedding next June {!!!}, I knew I had to wise up on weddings again. With her direction in the color department, I created a Pinterest board for her sure-to-be-gorgeous Lowcountry wedding! Here's a peek at what I've pulled together so far...

I'm seriously loving the softness of her color palette...isn't it perfect for an early summer soirée??

{kj} and her fiancé smartly hired a wedding planner, but I'm happy to do some fun research for her on the side. It will be fun to share bits and pieces of it with all of you too :) I am so so honored to stand beside her on her big day--and couldn't be more excited to see her wedding come together. Knowing this pair, it will be a picture-perfect Southern wedding. I'm counting down the days already! Love you, {kj}!

I love her color palette! You're right- so soft and perfect for their wedding! The mason jars are so cute.. I used to drink out of them when I was little (grew up in the middle of nowhere) lol Definite nostalgia!

LOVE this!
ReplyDeleteOMG. I LOVE this!! The color scheme is perfect for a Southern summer wedding. And the mason jars, ribbons and pretty straws are just perfect. Ah. I'm in love with all of it.
ReplyDeleteSince I grew up (and still live) in the country, I love country-themed weddings. This color scheme is so beautiful and simple!
ReplyDeleteLove this, I was admiring your pins this weekend! How did people plan weddings before Pinterest?
ReplyDeleteThose colors are divine. And I'm seriously obsessed with those place settings! The little hearts are just too cute. Weddings are so much fun :)
ReplyDeleteUm, I LOVE this!! Recently i've been swooning over fuchsia and creamy gold/ beige. Adding another pop of color for an accent- think deep purple, bright yellow, any shade of blue or even tangerine can completely change the formality & feel!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors! Where will her ceremony and reception be?
ReplyDeleteVery fun! Those colors are lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy best friend is getting married in June also and we've been sharing pins back and forth :)
I'm getting married next fall and it is OVERWHELMING. I started a pinterest board, but have abandoned it bc it gives me anxiety. I'll probably stalk your pinterest board and return to mine after a few cocktails. I adore the apricot color!

Love the board. I just wed last month in Lake Tahoe. We brought in rustic/mountain touches, with a Grey/navy color and pops of orange/poppy/yellow. It turned out fantastic! Good luck to your friend.

Same with me!!! We got married in 2010 and I really could have used Pinterest. My mood board would have looked so much better!!! But....not as good as this. This is amazing! Such a good look! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI loove this color combo -- it's perfect for a summer wedding! Right now I am crushing on deep reds paired with champagne. Can you tell I'm thinking fall? ;)
ReplyDeleteThis color scheme is amazing! I'm a lover of fall hues - mustard yellow, burnt orange and olive green. Those colors will definitely make it someday into my wedding plans...:)

I love soft colors like this, especially peach, yellow and pale green. I'm only slightly embarrassed to admit I have some of my (non-existant) wedding planned.

ReplyDeleteI was married two years ago also, and though we had Style Me Pretty (Thank goodness!), there is definitely SO much more inspiration now! Love all of these images - so pretty.
