friday's fancies #75.

A very happy Friday to you! With the Derby and Cinco de Mayo on the docket this weekend, I couldn't decide on just one Friday's Fancies theme. I thought it would be best to leave that up to you! Growing up just an hour from the Kentucky Derby festivities, I have always had a soft spot for the races. My dream Derby outfit would be much like the one below! If you want a peek at my Cinco de Mayo inspiration, check out my post on College Prep :)

Disclaimer: This is a very Lilly Pulitzer and Kate Spade-heavy Friday's Fancies post--indulge me!

1) The bold bow on this Lilly Pulitzer Amberly Strapless Dress had me at hello! The perennially preppy combo of pink and green just pops against the solid bow.
2) This softer Kate Spade Little Miss Kaelin Crossbody Bag was the ideal choice against the fabulous Pink Twinkle pattern from Lilly.
3) With six possible colors, I'd love to make a stack with these colorful Lilly Pulitzer Knotty Bangles!
4) These Kate Spade Gumdrop Earrings provide a sweet touch {literally}, without distracting from all the fabulous in this ensemble.
5) These bold Kate Spade Ginger Sandals provide the perfect pop of color.
6) It wouldn't be a Derby look without a gorgeous statement hat like this one from Eric Javits.

This Friday would only be better if we could all be celebrating together! I simply cannot thank you enough for taking the time to linking up for Friday's Fancies. This family of ours is positively amazing--I'm in awe of you all each and every week.

If you’d like to join in for Friday’s Fancies next week, click here to find out more :) Whether you're celebrating Cinco de Mayo or enjoying the Derby hype {or something entirely different!}, I hope you have a fabulous weekend--I'll see you Monday!

P.S. Don't miss out on my guest posts today on these three fabulous blogs:

pretty pretty.

Hello, hello! I noticed a sweet trend on my pinterest lately--a number of colorful popsicles! I don't profess to be the best cook {I'm working on it!}, but I love to bake. Regardless, I've decided I must tackle the perfect popsicle this summer. Not only do they look gorgeous, they would be a definite party pleaser...

Here's my question: I know there are legit popsicle makers, but do I really need one of those? Or can I accomplish it with more rudimentary tools like Dixie cups? I want to have pretty pretty popsicles, like the ones in the photos above, without screwing it up ten times to perfect the art ;) Any advice would be very much appreciated, friends. I trust you all for this advice!

Per usual on Thursdays, I am beyond excited for tomorrow's Friday's Fancies. I hope you have your outfits ready for this weekend's festivities, be it a Cinco de Mayo celebration or the Kentucky Derby! If you want to join in, click here to read all about it.

P.S. If you haven't registered for my second Blogger Blitz DC, hop on it--the guest list is just shy of half full in only 24 hours! So excited to see so many wonderful ladies already on the guest list :)

get blitzed.

I promised a few fun announcements in the next few weeks...this is the first of them: Blogger Blitz DC!
I am so excited to return to my second "home" in Washington, DC the first weekend of June. Since my first DC blitz in December, I've been aching to get back to Washington--and the time has finally come :)

Join me {+ a bevy of other fabulous bloggers!} on Sunday, June 3rd from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Marvin for the second #bloggerblitzdc! Marvin will be the ideal place for all of us to mix and mingle--and maybe enjoy a few of their fabulous cocktails and beverages while we're there ;)

If you have any questions {or if you'd like to reach the bloggers in attendance for Blogger Blitz DC}, please email me! I'm happy to help! And if you can't join me in DC, be on the look-out: I have a Midwestern stop up next. I am also taking suggestions on where else to host a blitz, so be sure to give your input!

I simply cannot wait for June 3rd--just know space is limited, so hop on and get tickets as soon as possible. You won't want to miss one!

silver + gold.

Most every spring, I grab a new pair of basic flats in silver and gold. I've delayed those purchases this year because of my spending freeze, but it doesn't mean they haven't been on my mind. I love to rock the "basic" metallics because they're easier to pair with bold colors without being too matchy-matchy. These five perfect matches struck my fancy. Sorted from most expensive to the least expensive, I would take any of these pairs in a heartbeat...

Do you have any staples from season to season? I'm hoping I'm not riding this boat solo. I wish I could guarantee a refresh this spring, but I'm going to continue the search for the perfect replacements.
Have a fantastic Tuesday, friends, and please tell me I'm not alone ;)

P.S. Don't miss my guest appearance on Brown Eyed Belle!
