 Though the pictures say much of the story, it's important to elaborate on a few things: 

1) Paying to drive down 17 Mile Drive is worth every penny, even when it rains!

2) The drive down US Highway 1 is one of the most beautiful scenes in America. Hands down.

3) Roadtrips. are. the. best. With as little as I get to see {cv} on a daily basis because of his job, we were thrilled to finally get some time for us. We didn't have distractions {thanks to a poor cell signal--no complaints from me!} and just got to admire the scenery, listen to great music, and enjoy each other.

4) Sometimes the best memories from vacations are the unanticipated ones, as in the time we took a mountain pass because Highway 1 was blocked. We'll never forget that trek!
